Karl Royle works at the Centre for Development and Applied Research in Education (CDaRE), University of Wolverhampton. Karl has considerable experience in learning design for both screen and print-based media and has a background in teacher education, professional development, and education research project management. A former teacher in inner city schooling and manager in post-16 education, Karl specialises in integrating literacy development into video games and digital spaces.
